I have been using Returnil 2008 on an XP SP3 machine for some time along with Startup Delayer. Startup Delayer works almost flawlessly most of the time. However, for some reason, I usually run into a problem after using Returnil. Usually, after I shut down and restart, only a few of my startup items reload in the system tray (usually just a couple windows things, plus my AV and my Firewall) -- but nothing else. Even after rebooting a couple times -- the result is the same. So usually the only way to recover from this is a System Restore -- which is a real pain.

This problem generally occurs after a complete computer shutdown -- not just a soft reboot.

By the way, even though I'm using Startup Delayer, I doubt if this is the problem because I know someone else using the same exact setup who has no problems.

Hello TomAZ and welcome to the forums :)
Please take me through a step by step description of what you are attempting to do and the what you did to get the result you describe. Also, have you compared your setup and steps to the computer that you describe as not having an issue when using RVS and Startup Delayer?

    Mike
