First this addon is offered, then it is gone, then it is back, and now it's gone again: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/incognito-adblocker/ Anyone know what is going on with this addon?
gone and not usable. it appear to work in incognito -> private mode in firefox. as mozilla opened the private mode for extensions -> see settings, there is no need for such crap - use any decent adblocker for android you like to
I did not know Incognito Adblocker was ever available for android, but then I have never used pocketphones (they go a few steps beyond my tolerance for privacy invasion). It was one of the better adblockers for my desktop....a contender for uBlock Origin, and far better than the other adblockers. Most sites could not detect it, and throw up a 'turn off your adblocker' overlay. It got honorable mention at many sites: https://www.comparitech.com/blog/vpn-privacy/best-free-ad-blockers/ https://medium.com/@bestaddons/5-best-adblock-for-firefox-as-of-2018-7853b83ea07f https://www.adamnichani.com.au/what-is-ad-blocking/ https://www.slant.co/topics/6946/~ad-blockers Now it seems only available on M$ Edge: https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com...to-adblocker/efpgcmfgkpmogadebodiegjleafcmdcb ...which is at the top of the list of the three browsers I will never again use. I was hoping there was a download link outside of the crappy Firefox web extensions site that I could grab a copy for my Firefox/Chrome derivative browsers. Guess I'm stuck with uBlock Origin.
