After thoroughly reading the help files and looking over this forum.......I seem to have an issue that's different. If I missed a previous thread about the issue....Xcuse.

Everytime I pull the trigger and set up IMON.......I get this registry entry about a broken LSP/imon missing .dll/ in my winsock......this also occurs everytime you reboot.....

the HJT note is attached.....Does Norton have a lateral function in their NAV that I might have been familiar with......up until Sunday I was a staunch NAV user....

    thanks,
    jd

    Hi JD, :)

    You mean this one:
O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'imon.dll' missing

That should not be fixed. At least not if you are using NOD32.
It's just a minor misunderstanding between NOD32 and HijackThis.
The file is there, but HijackThis can't find it. Windows can and that's what matters.

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Hi JD,

I also use NOD32 and I have IMON enabled, so I too have the "O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'imon.dll' missing" showing up in my HJT log. But I know it isn't broken, and that line 10 for IMON should not be fixed in HJT. I believe that imon.dll will be put on the "LSP white list" for HijackThis and it won't show up anymore, but when that will be, I don't know.

Norton's I can't help you with though since I have never used that. :doubt:

    Regards,

    snap

I just fired off a memo to Merijn.....asking him to address this when he releases HJT v1.98

    thnks for your reply..............

I figured it was something like that.....

I just hate it .......when things aren't all neet, tidy, and at severe right angles

No need for that, it is no indication that it is not working properly.

    The email scanner. ;)

NOD doesn't have those. Script-Sentry is a nice alternative. :p

    Yeah, yeah. Promises... promises. :D

    Regards,

    Pieter
