Image restore win2003 dynamic volume

After online imaging of an win2003 server with mirrored dynamic volumes and then restoring this image to an identical hardware, the system starts but after selecting the os within the boot.ini, the screen blanks and the system reboots again. I tried to repair this with the installation disk of win2003 and after that the system is running. But this is very time consuming so what is wrong in this configuration, are the mirrored disks or the dynamic volumes the problem, is there any solution to this ?

I have no personal experince with mirrored dynamic volumes, so I could be wrong ... but I think I remember reading something here about dynamic volumes not being supported by True Image, and that a manual conversion from basic to dynamic disks is required after a restore.
