    dear sirs
I have acronis 8.0 the latest build 9.0? anyway I can make a image but when I check it it says " image archived D:\ mybackup2tib is corruptyed please choose another file" this happens with all backups
after I do a backup it says "image completed successfully" how can I get it ot work right? I did just change drives to "lite-on sohw 1673s" dvd/rw but can use the drive for other things so I don't think its the drive. I have windows xp sp2 nero and roxio suites

    Hello comp56,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please make sure that you use the latest build (937) of Acronis True Image 8.0 which is available at: http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/updates/

To get access to updates you should create an account at:

then log in and use your serial number to register your software.

Please create new Bootable Rescue CD after installing the update.

You can find the full version name and build number as it is shown here.

If the problem still persists with the latest build (937) of Acronis True Image 8.0 then please provide me with the more detailed information on the problem.

Please describe actions taken before the problem appears step-by-step.

Tell me where do you store your images. Is it internal\external\network hard drive or CD\DVD media?

Please also note that in order to verify the image spanned over a several CDs\DVDs you should first insert the last created disc and then follow the wizard's instructions.

Create an image and then verify it both from under Windows and when booted from special Bootable Rescue CD. Inform me about the results.

Check whether your PC is overclocked or has a faulty memory modules.

    Thank you.
