I just bought the Terabyteunlimited bundle of backup software. I have tried several times to do a full backup from the internal hd (C) to a USB external hd (E) using Image For Windows. (Toshiba Satellite A75-S231 112gb hd, WD Passport 250gb external usb hd. I go thru the setup panes, and every time when I click "Start", I immediately get a popup saying "Unable to obtain a lock on Drive C." Ideas anyone? Thx.

    moorejack,

Is PHYlock installed? What was the name of the file you used to install IFW? Which version of IFW?

You also have a license for IFW Console. It's available here.

    https://terabyteunlimited.com/product-download.php

    Does it do the same?

    IFW doesn't use that service.

My service is Manual and Stopped. IFW creates an image.

Hi Brian - thx. for response. (The following will reveal my ignorance about imaging programs - sorry.) I have Version 2.4 IFW. I downloaded it and installed it from the link Terabyte sent in an email containing the user code and download link when I purchased it. (I also bought the backup disc from them.)
Sorry - I think I installed Phylock as part of the installation, but not sure. How do I check? Also, to answer your question about the name of the installation file is ifw_ifl_en_setup.exe (if I am looking in the right place.)
