What's being counted on is web devs not only changing current sites, but developing new ones with HTML5 in mind...a standard that is years away from being official, let alone being commonly used. For every "big" site that has not only the resources, but the will alone to change, there are a few million who don't have the resources or will. Touting HMTL5 capability in any browser is not going to make the move the HTML5 any faster.
