    Hi all,

It was a coin-toss to me whether this would fit better here or in Other Security, so if I guessed wrong, feel free to move it.

This is one more area where MS Help is nearly useless (unless I missed it somewhere by reading too fast).

If you get that Popup Blocked message bar at the top of IE6 and you grant temporary permission, what does that cover?
    - That visit only to that site?
    - Any visit to that site till you close IE?
    - Any visit to that site till you reboot?
    - Or ??

    Thanks and best,
    Mike

Thanks Ron. I'd seen the FAQ about the info bar itself, but missed that one about popup blocking. Neither one, unfortunately, seems to answer the question (unless of course my cognition has taken a nose-dive).

I spent quite a bit of this afternoon and evening wandering around the "knowledge database", but nothing to speak of there either. Actually even worse than the FAQ's, since everything I looked at seemed to be pre-SP2.

I guess the safest bet (other than, of course, simply ignoring the popup) is to select the option to view it, which presumably is a one-time-only permission.

    Thanks again, and best,
    Mike

    Mike, I can't help with the explanations, but the sp2 pages from M$ - 843015, 843016, 843017.
Pop-up page at mvps.org. Security overview at TechNet.
Good page with many links to sp2 info here.

Hope you can find some answers.
