IE protection is enabled. 12 items have protection disabled.

Customized the Block List shows unchecked items in red. When checked and Protect Against Checked itmes is picked, the items uncheck and then remain red.

    System is Windows 2000

    Thanks o_O

    Hi,

Could you type (or take a screenshot) of just the items that are appearing in red? (Their exact names, if you type them.)

    Thanks!

I have attached the first five in the list. There are four captures but I can only upload one.

    Thanks

What version is this pertaining to and was it a clean install or a copy over a previous install. I do not find any of those 5 in version 3.1 ActiveX database.

    Hi Bubba,

Those entries are definitely there with the latest updates(VERSION 3.1, DATABASE 5/18/04), though I do not remember if that is when they were added or not. Just search for 420405 and that should take you to the right spot in the list.

    Best wishes,

    Hey VV,

Your absolutely correct and appreciate the info. It caused me to re-look at this workstation and sure enough they haven't kept up with the latest downloads....got em now tho :)

@ Wayne.....I have on occasion seen where if you uncheck....Prevent the installation of Activex-based spyware, dialers, etc. and then re-check that setting and then select Protect Against Checked Items....that will cause the items to be proper(not red).
