IE error

    hi all
    does anyone know why when i downloaded ie to reinstall it wont work--message says some files may have not downloaded or may be corrupted.the reason im trying to reinstall it is because my web pages seem to load so slow and aol tried to fix browser by auto fix but could'nt so i tried repairing it from windows but the message was it could'nt be repaired--so i down load it again from microsoft and it still wont install so do i just forget it and leave well enough alone or do i keep on trying to reinstall?
