I'm annoyed. I can't believe I have to wait until February the 10th. The leaked version of the RC is x86 only, which doesn't install on the x64 platform...

The story is somewhat misleading. Recently browsers started adding anti-privacy features that announce your estimated physical location to websites in order to cash in on social media and localsearch networks.

This "news" is just about microsoft adding an option to turn off that new anti-privacy feature they created, and doesn't actually hide your location.
