ide to sata

    question for you good folks i have an image of an xp sp2 on an ide drive,

    i have a new SERIAL ATA,10000RPM drive coming, will i be able to restore my image of xp sp2 on the ide to

    an xp sp2 on the new ata 10000RPMo_O

    According to Acronis, I quote

    Yes, I do mean that you shouldn't change IDE to SATA.

    Lots of luck in trying.
    I have also been trying to copy my ide onto my Raid 0 SATA. No cigar.
    I think I will have to install a new OS on the Raid 0 SATA.
