I currently have an IDE drive installed with XP Pro. I would like to clone it into a RAID mirror. I think the way would be to add the raid and create the array. Then to boot to the existing IDE. The question is will Acronis 'see' the array and allow me to 'clone' the existing ide drive and then to boot up on the raid system. I know that the drivers for the RAID will have to be added to the IDE before the clone so that XP will install them when I boot-up. The raid controler will be a Promise TX2 IDE.

I currently am using Acronis 9.0 the paid home version.

    Will this work?

Well, I went ahead and did it.

    It worked.

The 'cloned' raid system runs fine.:thumb:
