I say....!

I truly long for times gone by of christmas and good times long gone from my sight. A tear comes to my eye when I think Of the good times we had, my two sons my mom and my dad.When all the family lived just a few miles away we would stop by just to say hey. But now my sons are all grown and have moved away probably forever to stay. One is on the west coast as warm as toast and one is in the north west and he has to wear a vest. My mom and dad live far away and I have to use the phone for what I have to say. When Christmas comes I shed a tear for long ago memories I hold so dear

This time of year you miss your distant relatives and friends the most and I hope for everyone here at wilders and everywhere else to be able to see them in person this year because I personally know how it is to have all of your family out of reach.

 

Yes, how well I know. Hang in there BigC. I have managed to visit one who lives an 18 hr. flight away but it's a killer being on the plane for such a long time - something we cannot do often. The other is closer so see each other a bit more often.

He is a small boy
Who doesn't kno where he has born
He sleeps in a pavement
And has got his dress torn
He sees evryday all the others
He too wants to b like them
No he cant do wat he wish
And he dunno whom to blame
He works in a garage
Bz with his different machine parts
He is bz till late at nite
Again early morning his job starts
He dreams a lot
Bout riding a mercedes car
But he is bz repairing the same
In the very next hour
Other guys get education
Changes their car evry hour
He also does the same
Xcept repairing the left car

with all trojans viruses... goin on and situation a lill too grim... with life on mars and New Guy and my own (a little disheartened ..looool )

Leave it to me to change the tone a little, right? This one's stuck in my mind since my college days, back when I was teaching little Noah how to walk.

And it's sort of a love-poem, if you're liberal with your definitions.

I traced in the sand with a reed,
"Sweetheart, I love thee."
A WAVE
Came in and washed away my words.
Cruel wave!
Frail reed, treacherous sand,
I'll trust thee no more;
But from Norway I'll pluck her tallest pine,
Dip its tip in Vesuvius' fiery cone,
And write in flaming letters across the sky:
"SWEETHEART, I LOVE THEE".
And I'd like to see any @#$&%$ wave wash that out.

Thanks, Uguel, now I'm actually blushing -- or is that my psoriasis flaring up again? It wasn't original, but what the heck -- I've never yet run into anyone who's seen it before.

This one's more love-gone-wrong than love -- I forget who it was by, and this is the only fragment of the song I remember. But it sure does get the message across, doesn't it?
