    Hi

I have been using KIS since KIS2009 and it has been a sweet/sour ride. My main complain was that AVP.EXE sometimes used to hog like 50% of the CPU for periods of time. It always returned to normal values but I could sometimes feel the toll on the system. On the other part some of the features I really liked like the Virtual Keyboard for example.

I have now upgraded to KIS2011 but it is time for me to renew the license. I have been thinking if maybe it is time to look into another product, like Avira Premium Security Suite for example, I have always liked to give Avira a spin.

What do you think is the best security suite right now? Is Avira's suite in your opinion better or in the same level as Kaspesky's?

    Thanks!

-Does it has to be definitely a Suite?
-Why don't you try a Combination of individual Applications?

Moreover, there have been great products (with Free versions),
-like Sandboxie, GeSWall, BufferZone, and Returnil-
that have allowed many members here to move away from
    Real-Time Scanners and software Firewalls.

    Hello Thorz
To choose an Antivirus product is much like religion and belife, in the end is about what you think can keep you safe. But at this moment I would choose Avast internet security pro and Eset smart security 4.Both are stable products in my opinion. Or you can choose something completely different like Sandboxie and Nod32 Av. But try the products, most vendors give a trial on 30 days. But that you already know:)
    Best Regards

Depends on your machine configuration & your surfing habits. Before you buy a license, why don't you try Norton/ Panda/ Eset or any other suite? I am using Avast IS on a slightly less powerful machine & feeling fine so far. You have to judge for yourself.
