I am back with Ubuntu

    I missed this forum.I just got my Pc back.
    They did not change the hard disk,they said that they changed the cable betwen the hard disk and the motherboard and also changed the slot.They also updated the bios.That's all.But in order to make the tests with everest they wiped out all my Linux Mint and installed winXP.I will have to shrink the partition and install Ubuntu and Fedora.If something happens again they will not wipe out all the Linux system.Windows will be there for them.I will not use windows.
    I have to make a decision to use grub or easybcd.

    Shame you lost Mint...but Ubuntu is good also (as you know) and I`m sure fedora is too.

    Hope your hardware troubles are over now.

    Welcome back cet. Mint is easy to install and get up and running pretty quickly. Hopefully your problems are solved now.

    i put a tutorial tomorrow xp + mint same you can use for xp and ubuntu also if you like you can do try triple boot xp ubuntu/mint and some other distro
