I'm using MS Office 2000 and many of my Word Document (.doc) files contain hyperlinks to websites. I've officially made the switch from IE to Firefox. But when I click on these hyperlinks in Word, the links still open in IE instead of Firefox. Is there any way I can change this? I changed all the file associations I could get my hands on in Folder Options > File Types. I also looked in Word's Preferences and couldn't find anything. I just created a Hyperlink in Excel and it also opens to IE. Is there any way to fix this?

    Thanks!

Are you certain Firefox is your default browser? (sorry if that's a dumb question; you did, in fact, mention that you "...officially made the switch..")

Tools >> Options >> Advanced >> General tab >> "Check Now"

Also, with Firefox as your default browser, links in your Favorites folder should open in Firefox rather than IE.
