    One day I found Hundreds of Quickfinder files in My Documents. I don't know how they got there. Is there a way to get rid of them quickly? Thank you for any advice.

    IT IS >NOT< SUGGESTED THAT YOU DO THIS>>>>REPEAT>>NOT SUGGESTED

    but in answer to your question......you could open MY Documents....then Open EDIT.....an click "SELECT ALL"

    My Documents may contain "HIDDEN FOLDERS" that your system needs or perhaps used by an installed Program..........a Window will pop-up advising you accordingly...............

    The safest way would be to delete one file at a time.......otherwise you will lose folders such as "MY MUSIC" "MY BOOKS" etc......not a good idea.

    just patiently delete those files one at a time....if you want to save yourself possible problems

    Sounds like you have WordPerfect? Is it still installed on your computer?

    Do the following at your own risk:

    Start->Search->For files

    1. In the files/folders named field enter *.idx (or whatever the extension is)
    2. Limit the search to My Documents folder.
    3. After the search is over, Click Edit/Select All
    4. Delete.

    These should be moved to Recycle Bin, so you can then check and MAKE SURE they are the files you want to remove.

    HTH.

    Thank you! That was going to be my next question. Should I permanently delete them? I guess I'll just do a little research on that. It will be nice to get them out of My Documents at least. :)

    I don't think anything will break if you delete them. Proceed at your own risk, however! ;)
