I still have the Windows XP Pro, SP3, 32 bit operating system. I am connected to the internet with a Time Warner Cable modem. I have an HP LaserJet 1320 printer connected to my desktop computer; I would also like to use a laptop using WIFI to print documents from the printer. My question is can this be done and if so how? I would appreciate all replies and would thank you in advance.

Since that printer has a USB port, I recommend a USB print server (if your router does not already have one). Print servers are great! First and foremost - because you are using a woefully obsolete and inherently insecure OS (XP), print servers are more secure because you don't have to open up sharing on any computer.

Other great advantages include the ability to place the printer in a central location anywhere on your network. The printer does not need to be tethered to a computer taking up desk space. Everyone on your network can print at once. No "host" computer needs to be up and running for others to print.

I just received an email from Newegg.com that said "Shopping for network print servers? Choose only from the best." Big Brother Is Watching!!!

i bought my laserjet with network port because i have a network running, access from anywhere within my network.
thats reason why some modem or router offers an usb hub for printers or storage devices with only usb.
independence from any running computer with os and from weird firewall restrictions.
to mention outdated drivers - if some uses like here XP the next client need to install same outdated driver which is not always possible or running in trouble because since vista the driver modell changed and windows 10 changed it again.

If you search for something on Newegg and have an account with them, that triggers a targeted ad email. Sometimes I like it because occasionally, the ad offers a discount. But most of my searches on Newegg are just doing research for forum responses, like I did above. That is, usually I am not searching for me. So then the ads can be annoying. BTW, you can opt out of most of them in your account settings.
