Hey Guys, i want to disable the startup scan on the Fileservers, because sometimes it really kills the performance on those servers, which i dont want.

    Do you guys know how?

Just make a policy that applies to a group of the servers you specify, modify the policy's scheduler settings to disable the Automatic startup file check (job IDs 3 and 4).

Can you get a little more specific on how to accomplish this?

Since a picture makes up for a thousand words here is a screenshot of my explanation.

I personally edit the start-up scan to only scan when idle, then users don't notice any impact on start up as well and it still does the scan (only takes a bit longer).

Off course you still need to apply this configuration to a policy, or simply push it out with a task.

Thanks for the reply. I finally found what you were referring to but the forums here seemed to be down yesterday so I couldn't post that I had resolved it.
