Wow - my experience rating went up from 4.4 to 6.6 - not sure how much that is in the "real world" but thanks for the advice

    beethoven,

From an Admin Command Prompt, run....

    fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify

If the answer is 0 then TRIM is enabled.

If the answer is 1, run....

    fsutil behavior set disabledeletenotify 0

    ...this will enable TRIM

I went through this before and it showed enabled, that's why I assumed everything was fine. Did not not about the windows experience index and don't know why in there it said detected new hardware. Anyway, seems I am now ready to fly :)

B, the new hardware was probably the SSD. The fact that Windows had TRIM = ON only means something if the device has been detected as an SSD... if it wasn't, there was no TRIMming going on.

If your partition is now properly aligned, WEI has been run and it detected your SSD (that's why the big increase in the INDEX) and you ran a pass of the SSDTool... you're ready to ROCK!

    Enjoy the system!
