Hello, I'm trying to update my Chrome from within my USB. I've always tried the method described on this link.
But for some odd reason, this time, the version does not change, it seems like I'm not able to update it this way anymore.
Do you guys have an alternative method?

Don't delete the existing version. Use it to download the new one. The installation process will *not* delete your settings/extensions/etc which are stored in a path like this: "E:\PortableApps\GoogleChromePortable\Data".

There's also an updater prepared by the folks at portableapps.com which will allow for incremental updates but I haven't tried it. You can look here for details:

The forum there is useful as well.
