I went to a over seas website to look at fishing equipment, but it seems a little "fishy". But how can I know for sure? They have some thing that I want at a good price, but I'm a little nervous buying from them.

    Here is the website...
    Code:
    http://www.xuanwutome.com/

I'd recommend 2 things. WOT add on for Firefox, and also HeimdalSecurity Pro. Both do a great job for me. I rely more on Heimdal, then WOT.

Yeah, I like VTotal and Zscaler Zulu for on-demand site scans. Unfortunately, these don't help with finding wether a site is fraudulent.

I hate WOT for normal security, but it is actually useful for shopping granted it is crowdsourced.

But proper research trumps all. Running the website in Google shows very few results and some asking the same question: is it legit?

That in itself raises a huge red flag.

Then Google "Logiste Tackle" and it becomes more obvious that this vender is not trustworthy.

Copied layout from real sites (http://samuraitackle.com/ ?)
Copied site over many urls--some no longer functioning
Has in stock many products that are sold out elsewhere
    Only takes CC

I was thinking the same thing. I even googled the address and it seemed shady, said it was in a mansion. So I'll pass on this :D.
