I"m new to SB so I don't know if it is necessary to run it each time I boot, or does it kick in automatically. I checked processes running (XP Pro) and can't find it. It doesn't appear as a runnning program unless I actually run it. I have added it to my startup list, but this gives me the program window which I then have to close. This is not serious, but annoying. Will I get the protection without loading the program each boot? Thanks. esmo

    Welcome to Wilder's esmo,

You only have to run Spyware Blaster once to enable the protection.
It sets kill bits in the registry for known spyware.
You should occasionally run it and update the list for new baddies though.
It does not need to be running to provide protection.
How's that for low resource usage!
