We go meta today! Here's a tutorial on how to run GUI applications through BASH in the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) in Windows 10, covering the setup of the Xming X Windows server and the usage of several popular programs like Firefox, VLC and Cheese, associated issues with drivers, 3D acceleration and performance, stability, and more. Enjoy.

You can do that but you can run Linux in VB in Windows. They can connect to the Internet through your broadband modem's Ethernet port.

Microsoft's Linux subsystem can't do as much yet but it can offer you a glimpse at the UNIX world.
