How to rotate AVI movies

    Is there an easy way to rotate AVI movies? I have a bunch that I look with my iphone and old camera and they are horizontal with head on the right and legs on the left. Awful to watch...
    I have strong preferance for open source software after that I would consider some kind of trail versions. I just have ~10-20 videos that I need to rotate.

    If we're talking Windows, virtualdub is a good choice.
    But it only works with avi files and specific codecs.
    You might also need avidemux to convert.
