That is without the use of the plug in while online, as all my sessions are from within sandboxie, so no way I can keep the change. I want to install ixquick as my default browser.

the following settings in about:config do not work

    browser.search.order.1;Ixquick

    browser.search.searchEnginesURL;https://ixquick.com

    browser.search.selectedEngine;Ixquick HTTPS

I don't know if it works like in Chromium, but this is what I got:

    %s = the search query

    Thanks m00nbl00d.

Got it done. replaced keyword.URL string with

    https://ixquick.com/do/search?language=english&cat=web&query=

But couldn't put it in the search engine list. Though I deleted Google, but I had to put Bing as I cant delete all. Using FF's manage search engine option I have to keep at least one.
