Unfortunately there is no such thing as invisibility on any Social Networking site, such as Twitter I read that Wired article a while ago, it is amusing, at best :ouch:

I tried FB for a while and found warnings about using the games for security reasons. Lately I have been seeing more and more info warning about various security threats which is starting to confirm my fears. I accumulated some "friends" and would check in daily to see what's up. Some posts on my "wall" were stupid at best and most "friends" never responded. I was basically building a wall to no where. I eventually realized that this pass time for the most part is a waste of time and canceled my subscription. There are two ways to cancel your subscription. One way leaves your subscription in tact for a while in case you change your mind, and the second way cancels it immediately (so it says). To each his own I guess, but not for me. :p

I won't be logging back into FaceBook in a hurry.

    I do my own test > my name in "......" > https://ssl.scroogle.org/

    Still invisible! ;)

I don't use Facebook but I understand that this can be controlled with the FF extension Noscript - see here for the details.

I just logged in and had no such pop-up. I have school (and work related) information entered. I did not have to join any groups and have not joined any groups to date.

What applications are you using in Facebook?

What is your security setting for "Instant Personalization Pilot Program"?
