    Hi all,

I've written a tutorial explaining how to properly respond to Windows security prompts and make the right decisions, including software updates, Limited User Account (LUA), User Access Control (UAC), Data Execution Prevention (DEP), and firewall rules.

You may find this useful and refreshing ...

    Hi Mrkvonic,

nice work :thumb: I would maybe clarify the UAC prompt as being for an admin (at least in Win 7) where the prompt is for consent (no pw needed, only an okay to allow), whereas for a standard user the UAC prompt by default is for credentials (pw required to okay it). I can't remember how UAC works in Vista, however, for admin and standard accounts. I didn't use it. I'm not sure if credentials were required for both or only the standard accounts.
