    WoW that's and old version actually the last of the 2013 versions! http://www5.nohold.net/Webroot/ukp.aspx?pid=10&app=vw&vw=1&login=1&json=1&solutionid=857#8033 as the 2014 versions start with v8.0.4.66 here is the download link: http://anywhere.webrootcloudav.com/zerol/wsainstall.exe I would suggest that you do a clean reinstall make sure you have a copy of your keycode and Download the installer from the link above and then Uninstall WSA and Reboot then install with the new installer and enter your keycode and let it finish it's install scan then Reboot once again then set it up the way you like and here is the online Helpfile: http://www.webroot.com/En_US/SecureAnywhere/PC/WSA_PC_Help.htm#C1_GetStarted/CH1a_Installing.htm

    HTH,

    Daniel ;)

    @TH
    Thankyou
    Thx for the Link
    Any special aspects of uninstallation ??

    @ams:
    not sure what you mean by that.
    The product is licensed and registered.
    When I log into my account I cannot see where any download may be.

    @PrevXHelp:
    Why is the download link so hard to find ??
    Why didn't my installs update ??
    ( happened on another box too: went to support and got a VERY complicated summary of what to do to update)

    Regards.

    It may have been necessary to run a manual update if your software was blocked from updating before. However, you can just run the newer version on top of an old version, which will auto update it (although in your case, it would probably be best to uninstall/reinstall).

    The download links shouldn't be hard to find, but there are literally dozens of different download links depending on where the user originally acquired the software, so we don't publish a single link.

    In your account, click on your console name > email address on the top right corner > Downloads

    OK :)
    Thanks...

    I meant: is just the included Uninstaller enough ??
    Turn any services off ??
    Shut down WSA ??

    Many references to difficult uninstalls and need for extra tools...

    Is this page UTD ?
    http://www.webroot.com/prodCheck/?pc=64150&origrc=1&oc=221&mjv=7&mnv=0&rel=6&bld=38&lang=en&loc=AUS&kc=ppc%60lkik^^afhgpewgfa&opi=2&omj=6&omn=1&osl=en&errid

    And from ams963, slightly older thread now: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=340371

    @ams: got it, ta.
    Never spend much time in the console.

    This is what I've learned from my own experience.

    Uninstall from Programs in Control Panel as you would do normally with any programs. Make sure you're connected to the internet during uninstallation. Then reboot or restart your computer. Now download the installer from the Console like the way I have shown and install it.

    Since you are not in the same situation as I was when I had started that thread/topic as you've not uninstalled WSA yet, the above method should work very well and offer you a clean WSA installation. And would hopefully solve the update problem. :) Please do get back to connfirm if this solves all your problems.

    OK

    All good
    V80468 in place

    Have interesting problem: when I go to console and login, "PC Security" says "Error retrieving data", hitting the tab takes me to graphic of my five protected boxes.
    Hitting any of the referenced systems brings up a notification "Your account has been logged out"

    Hitting any link in the dropdown list under my username as referenced above in this thread takes me back to the login page

    Wot have I done now ??

    Well seems similar to my situation. I'm also logged out when I click on something in the Console most of the time. I had to login several times to take that screenshot a few posts above.

    It is a problem with IP addresses changing with every click. It was serious problem with Wilders Security Forum for sometime. I had asked the Administrator here and he had explained it to me clearly. He said he could see my IP address changing with every click. This resulted in logging out. I asked him to fix it and luckily last year he did. Now I can visit Wilders without being logged out. Unfortunately Webroot has not fixed the problem as there are few of us with this IP changing problem. I'm not sure if I had notified Webroot Support team of the matter. It was sometime ago. I think I did. I thought I was the only one as my internet connection is crappy anyways. I have to login several times to do anything in the Console.

    Yes, just uninstall it using Add/Remove Programs, and don't shut it down first (otherwise it won't be able to uninstall).

    The additional tools were for the old Webroot (pre-Prevx). I'm curious as to where you found that uninstall link? It's extremely outdated so I'd like to get it corrected.

    Thanks!

    Popped up in a google search
    Not sure what you mean by how to find it ??

    @ams963

    Not sure what you mean.

    The problem occurs on one machine with wifi connection to router.
    No issues with other boxes on cable connection.

    Oh I see. Then your problem is different. Do you by any chance have an expired keycode along with your current valid keycode in your Console? I mean like maybe you had registered your Console account with a keycode that had expired, then you registered another new keycode and you can still see the expired one in the Console?
