Ekrn.exe is kernel and it's running as service. In v3 you have got option to disable Eset Service, but prepared v4 has got Self-Defense module, which defend ess's service before disabling. As the result, you won't get much power, when you end ekrn.exe. Better and simpler is to disable Antivirus and antispyware protection or Personal firewall.

Open "services.msc", find out "Eset Service" and set up his "Startup type" on "Disabled", restart OS.

I recommend you to temporarily disable "egui.exe" in msconfig, too.
