how do you create a UEFI image of windows 10 x64 using a bootable CD or USB flashdrive. i have created many images of a MBR drive, but is there anything i need to change when creating an image of a UEFI using true image rescue CD

Please post a map of the drive showing the partitions. You can get the map using the Windows Disk manager or True Image.

its not for my PC but for a friends PC who's system is a single unpartitioned drive in UEFI mode, and the backup will be created on an external drive

Garry, there's no such thing as a "single" unpartitioned UEFI drive. It needs at least an EFI partition (System) to BOOT from and a Windows partition to BOOT to... and many times includes a Microsoft SRP (System Reserved Partition) and a Microsoft RECOVERY PARTITION.

Can you get us a better description of the disk involved?

Fascinating term. Are you referring to a drive with no partitions?

We need to see a screenshot of Disk Management. You can't have a UEFI Win10 system with a single partition on the drive.
