How to create image across network?

    Forgive a complete newbie question, but is it possible to create an image from a PC, writing it to an external HDD attached to another PC on the network? That's all the network is - just the two PCs wired through a router.o_O

    Yes, if you can see the external hard-drive in Windows. It should be present in the device listing in the Acronis Backup Wizard's Backup Archive Location screen.

    I haven't done this to an external drive but I have created images on hard-drives on the networked PC. Don't see why it should be different. (Can't believe I said thato_O )

    Be sure you can restore your images via your chosen method!!!

    Many thanks to both of you for helpful replies. I made the external HDD shared and to my delight and surprise was immediately able to back up across the network.
