    Hi SSam,

Googling this looked promising (it'll be the one at the doom9 forum's) - Batch FLV Converter/Decoder
Don't miss the referenced link for FLV Extract while you weed through the thread.

    Hello SinisterSam. :)

I have transcoded your file and uploaded it here. The file has following properties:

    Video: XVID 550x400 15.00fps 103Kbps
    Audio: MP3 22050Hz mono 96Kbps

The size is approx. 2,5 mb. Hope that fits your needs...

    My regards.

Hey Mrk, it's "All your base are belong to us" ;)

    Hello Sam.

    You're most welcome. ;)
I tried a few freeware/shareware converters, but Moyea finally did proper transcoding to DivX format. It's not free, so it produces a watermark in the top left corner. I managed to make watermark as small as possible by enlarging output movie. Then I scaled it down to original size in VirtualDub. Not a big hassle, I had luck to find that Moyea thing quickly.

    Cheers.

After wanting to store a few YouTube videos, I recently decided that I needed to be able to transcode FLV files to something else. Wanting something free, I tried SUPER http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html and MediaCoder http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/

They sort of worked, but in general, they didn't. (I'm a total noob at this stuff.) I kept looking and finally ran across the Internet Video Converter http://ivcsoft.free.fr/index.php?2007/06/25/24-download-ivc-telecharger-ivc So far, it has worked every time. I've tested from FLV to WMV, AVI and MPG with no problems. (For some references, I checked and found that IVC is listed at reputable freeware sites like Snapfiles http://www.snapfiles.com/get/internetvideoconverter.html and Softpedia http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multim...r-DIVX-Related/Internet-Video-Converter.shtml . So I felt that it was safe to try.) One thing I really liked about IVC is that it is available in 3 versions. A regular installed version, a portable version and a U3 version. (I ran the portable one.) The creator's native language is French but I had no trouble getting around in the English version.

Anyway, I thought is was worth mentioning...

MediaCoder is an excellent tool. I used it many times and always have it in mind when it comes to conversions. However, when I tried to convert the flash movie which is the subject of this thread, it unfortunately failed miserably. :doubt:
I will try other utilities recommended by the last three posters, to see how they fare, with flash specifically.

It's supposed to be excellent, but I've read posts about its menu options using Firefox, and then connecting to the home sourceforge ip and some other one.

    Have you tested that?
