I just hope it hides what is "trending". I look at it few times, clicked it and always regretted it.

There are no "similar" sites for 2/3 of those, but for Facebook there is Frost for Facebook, for Instagram there is Instander, and I have no idea if there's something similar for LinkedIn. Probably not.

Check out LibRedirect for Firefox for similar sites to Nitter

    Twitter has changed something.
If the profile you want to view has content that is considered adult, you need to log in.

Thanks guys, I somehow forgot to ask about this in the uBlock thread, but seems like these filters are working to kill this annoying pop up. I really hate these guys for implementing this kind of stuff, same with Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram, they force you to log in. :thumbd:

Yeah same. I hate these places forcing you to make an account or log in, and in mobile I hate everyone forcing you to install their apps. Screw them.

I did however notice that when you scroll up or down then the videos on Twitter stop playing, did you also notice this with these filters?

I've had that issue since long before using these filters. Did you not have that issue before?

No never, it seems it started when I added these filters to get rid of the nagscreens. I need to do some more testing to see if it really is caused by the uBlock filters, will report back.

BTW, it is indeed caused by the filters, so now I have removed them.

It still happens to me even after I disable ublock, tracking protection(both firefox and edge) and allow autoplay. Not sure whats the cause since it happens with both browsers. Its not a big problem for me though.

I added the three rules posted by anon in #8 (tx anon) and the videos play as soon as they land while I'm scrolling. Doesn't matter if it's up or down. You see the Play button for a second, then they play. Have not seen the "See more Tweets from.." thing (yet), thank goodness.

    Go figure.

I have stopped getting fancy and cute with uBO. Not worth the hassle.

Weird, without the filters the video keep playing even when scrolling up and down. Perhaps it's a browser thing?

Well, In Firefox, there's an "autoplay" setting for audio AND video but default on here is blocking audio only from automatically starting. I would think there is similar for Vivaldi and others.
