Is there any way to configure lns to block access to certain web sites, and password protect it so a youngster cannot change it?

You could block certain web sites in LooknStop if you looked up there ip address and then created blocking rules for the addresses under Internet Filtering. To password protect LooknStop go under the Options tab and then click on the Advanced Option button in the bottom left corner. There you can check the enabled box under Password and then Define a password to use. This isn't a very viable option though if you plan on blocking alot of sites.

So perhaps a better and more easier solution if you use IE, is to just use there built in Content Advisor. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/using/howto/contentadv/config.asp
