Just a few comments for someone who doesn't have an image backup, doesn't have a GUID Partition Table backup and who mistakenly runs Diskpart "clean" on their OS disk with Win10 (or Win8 ). It can be fixed...

The first and last 1 MiB of the disk will be zeroed by "clean". Windows won't appear in your "BIOS" boot menu. Your partition table is gone.

    Boot IFL media
    Partition Work
HD0 will be a MBR disk with no partitions
    Click Undelete
All partitions except the MSR will be undeleted in the first second
    Change Disk Type, GPT
    The MSR will be undeleted
Change the ESP Type to EFI System
Do a BCD Edit on the ESP
    Done

    Windows 10 will boot

I haven't tested this with a Linux system.

Edit.... Just tested with Linux Mint. It works although the Swap partition wasn't undeleted.
