    Hi all,
I've a 40G hard drive, with a unique partition C, and around 5G free space.
I want create a new partition with 15G, where I could move my data.
Please can you advice on how I can proceed with Disk director?

    Thanks, Jeremy

    Hello Jeremy2,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software.

If you have a 40Gb disk with only 5Gb of free space (i.e. the other 35Gb contain data) you won't be able to create new empty partition of 15Gb, which is quite natural. However, if you have at least 10Gb of unallocated space you will be able to perform what you want. To do that please launch Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0, right click on the C partition and choose "Resize" option. Please decrease the size of the partition by 5Gb and then right click the unallocated space that will be larger after that and choose "Create Partition" button.

    Thank you.
