I now have upgraded from Windows 7 64bit to Windows 8 pro 64bit, how should I harden it?
What are the win8 specific security enhancements that I should use?

Well I just discovered a way to enable the Early Launch Anti-malware (ELAM) driver.
Which prevents RootKit Drivers from loading.
1.Start off this procedure by pressing “Win+ R”. This will open up the run window, type “gpedit.msc” in it and press the enter key.
2.Navigate to “Computer Configuration” > “Administrative Templates” > “System” > “Early Launch Anti-Malware”.
3.Continue with this procedure by double clicking on the “Boot-Start driver initialization Policy”. Select the option labeled “Enabled”.
4.Save the settings by clicking on “Apply” and then “Ok”.
5.Finally end this procedure by exiting the “Group Policy Editor”.

FYI, it was set to disabled on my system (I upgraded from Windows 7 PRO 64bit).
