USA still the best. But barely.
I like it. And yes it's a good scanner.

As the free version has no realtime background scanner its more than light :)
Regarding to the install.log no complicated registry entries and all files in one folder.

    Hi

Did my first Deep scan last night - unbelievably slow. Left it running. Came back 90 mins later and nowhere near finished. Ewido free takes about 20 mins on this machine to do a Complete System Scan. Don't know if they are comparable but I don't see why they wouldn't be.

Smart Scan was fine - nice and quick.

I don't really mind how long scans take( quality of scan is what matters) but this seemed quite excessive. I'm sure things differ from one machine to another but that's my experience so far if it helps.

I have Ewido as my resident AT. However, I think a-squared is better for spyware, and I have the free version as a scanner.

    I like A-Squared free.
It's a good scanner. It updates frequently and version 2.0 was an improvement.

Don't see any harm running both if both used as on-demand scanners. Can't hurt.

Weird. It's only on demand, I dont know why it would mess with anything.

If you can sort out the problem use both. Ewido wont find every trojan and vice versa. A-Squared is a little less clunky and bloated feeling when you run it IMO.

    One disadvantage : you can't install A2 off-line.

Not to be mean Cheater but you probably don't need every single program that you have. If I were you - just my opinion - I would remove Adaware and Spybot since Mcafee and Spyware Terminator and Ewido will remove the spyware. You don't need Spybot and Ad-Aware IMO.

I respect that cheater, it's good for immunizing it's just not very good at removal but if you use it for immunization, great.

since a squared doesnt have an online scanner, is there any other free anti malware progs that offer a free online scanner, or are those that are fiscally challenged only able to scan on demand with a squared and ewido?
