I believe macrium v6 is the only backup software that has an incremental merge feature

that will merge your incremental backups into your last complete backup

Can someone familiar with Macrium explain how this feature works.

Is I done manually or automatically. Thanks for your help

done automatically. ie. i have 1 full & six incrementals backup sequence, just ran another incremental, so there would have been seven, so it automatically merged the first two incrementals *1 &*2, renamed the merged to *2 so i get 6 incremantals *2 thru *7. this should repeat tonite at 23:10 when i run my scheduled incremental, i should tomorrow have the full and incrementals *3 thru *8. fri. i run another full, the earliest of the two fulls i have and the incrementals associated with them will be deleted, the most current full and it's six incrementals will be retained and a new full made to continue the cycle.
