Earlier today I downloaded installers for DriveSentry 3.4.0.20 from CNET and TechWorld.

Both installers worked, but when it came time to download the database, the process never would complete.
I gave the install via the CNET download almost 90 minutes; the install via Techworld about 40 minutes.

I did notice a button on the main interface to download a trial of the new DriveSentry Security Suite.
I didn't bite so I have no idea what it is or if the link even works.

Perhaps someone else will have better luck.

I wonder if we will get a new rep to come tell us about the product here at the forum? Maybe they will tell us what happened to the company in the past.

I remember the very early days of DriveSentry, and there was a lovely lady promoting it, forget her name. But it seems by the feedback that it's gone down the drain and lack of customer support is a main reason for company failure.

Just a joke. Was 'Katie' real? Was Katie a 'she'? Or just some guy thinking he'd sucker users in with a picture of a pretty girl. Who knows.

The project seems to be stagnant at best. I used DriveSentry for a while. I liked the ideal of Behavioral analysis, and Cloud Computing. They were similar to Prevx. I would like to see the project brought back to life. If that ever happens i would like to see the GUI redesigned. The GUI was ok, but there was a few changes to it that needed to be made. I did like their tray icon though! :D lol

It would be nice to see some up to date test ran on DriveSentry. The last test referenced to DriveSentry i saw was on Youtube, and i couldn't make heads or tails of it. It had no audio, and no clear conclusion as to the outcome of any of the results of the test.

I don't see an option to download a trial anymore. It looks like you have to buy it just to test it. That's just bad business practice. I always stay clear of any software I can't try out before I purchase it.

She was/is all female and all real. No need to worry.
Katie Bevin is working for an HR company now, according to her Linkedin page link.

Perhaps her boss would fit that description.

Actually there were 2 models/reps call it what you want to, that DriveSentry used here. The first was Katie, see here and that was not her picture.

The second was Polly, seen here as seen by here sig at bottom.

Personally I dont think there ever was either of these 2 young ladies here, except in avatars only, but it did work from a PR standpoint.
