My friend has a laptop and for some reason his finger pad is sticky. He can't get it off. What can he doo_O He tried wiping it with a damp paper towel and it did not work.

I like to use those refresher towels that come in those small foil packets which many fast food joints have. They seem to clean my laptop quite well and so far i can't see any adverse effects from using them.

The stain is probably a non-polar organic chemical so water will not work. Try rubbing alcohol or ethanol. If that doesn't work, try the following chemicals in succeeding order - quaternary ammonium compounds, phenols, and then bleach. Lysol brands sells cleaners with all of these chemicals. Use sparingly since you don't want the stuff to leak into the keyboard.
