You understand that you're going to face the same issues, such as computing power needs, right? Coin mining isn't for home systems and funsies. I don't know where you heard "everyone" is investing in these things, which are very nearly still a joke, but no, not "everyone" is. At $0.00095 per coin, and the increasing computing power needed, don't expect much. As long as Bitcoin itself is around, alternatives won't overtake it. They all have the same risks and requirements.
