    Hi,

I really want to use this software, but I'm not sure how to.
I did read the help file, but it still doesn't work.

I have only one partition (C:\) and ShadowProtect is installed in this partition.

I made a backup file in my external hard drive.

When I try to restore the C:\ full backup to C:\, it doesn't work.
Maybe it is obvious that it doesn't work... But it does work in ATI...

Do I need 'StorageCraft Recovery Environment CD' in order to do so?
It also says 'This can be done while ShadowProtect is running in Windows'

    I'm confused. o_O

    Thanks in advance.

You can back up within Windows, and you can restore file and folders from within Windows. For a full restore you must use the recovery CD which you should burn from the ISO image downloaded to you when you bought the software (if you are testing the software you should ask for an evaluation version which is not automatically given to you).

With the CD, it is really simple, like always, better try first if it works before buying.

    HI HJO

Like Osaban said, make sure you have the evaluation edition. Request it here. Ignore the warning in red, or the link for home users. Just fill in the form, and they will get back to you.

Let us know when you have that. Also post whether you have one or more partitions.

    @ Pete, Osaban

    Thanks for your help.
I guess I should submit my request for evaluation.
I assume that with the CD everything will be fast and easy?
    Thanks again. :)

P.S. I have only one partition. BTW how big is the iso file? Do I need a DVD?

ISO will fit on a CD. It's about 300MB

Yes the CD does make it easy. I usually do full images, and I image, check the image by extracting a file, and then doing a restore, all from the CD.
