In Gmail you can create filters that automatically delete messages that come from certain addresses. I recently started using Thunderbird and I'm finding it a little confusing as to how to set up something similar in it. It would be easier to just do if from within Thunderbird than login to Thunderbird every time I want to create a filter. Anyone know how I can do this and willing to share? Please provide detailed instructions. I'm using TB 139. I don't know if it matters but I'm using POP3. Thanks.

when viewing message, right clic on the sender you want to block/delete/move to specific email folder and select create filter, this will open a new window, select the approriate action, done!!!

Hey thanks a lot. I also discovered another way: Tools>Message Filters.
