I downloaded hostsman and now everytime I run spybot I get three entries of redirected hosts. Has anyone else had this problem and is this a problem or is this just something that spybot gets?

    Hi bamaman66 :)

    1- SBS&D false positive probably...
2- use the MVPs hosts file and overwrite the hosts when you update from MVPs site with HostMan.

The most recent Mvp's HOSTS file is here:
    http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

Replace your present HOSTS with this one and check again with spybot.

(I disable this check up in Spybot because it's often give false positive.
I write to the guys of SpyBot about this at least 3 times: no answer...)

    :)

Is it finding the below entries ?
and is this your thread also at the Official Spybot Forum ?

I would also suggest you take a look at the below thread @ the Official Spybot Forum and pay special attention to what the Spybot Advisor Team member comments about those same three entries.

False Positives coming from hosts file

I solved the problem with hostsman by going into the editor and putting check marks by the three sites. They do not show up when I run spybot. I also fixed the updates so that I would not download the hp hosts file. Everything seems to be fine. I don't understand why a site would be a problem in the hosts file since it keeps pne from going to the site with 127.0.0.1.
