After being away from my computer for 10 days due to a medical emergency, I come home to find an alert warning that keeps popping up about something wanting to chane my IE default home page to:

    http://www.free-popup-killer.com/ie/

I hit "Restore old value" get confirmation that my old setting was restored, click "OK"

    Repeat process

    Repeat process

    Repeat process

Then everything works normally for a few minutes until it starts again. If this is adware support for the program for me to change my default setting to that, it's not a problem, but I wanted to check before doing so as I would prefer to keep my original setting.

    Thanks

    Andy

    First, welcome to Wilders!
No question is dumb unless it is never asked ;-)

Hmm well this is not from any of Javacool's products. I get one of those cheap ad-link pages when hitting your URL so...

In your situation i would probably install and run either ad-aware or spybot Search and Destroy. If one of those (or both) fails to eliminate your problem, then try the next steps listed here.
