Thanks in advance for the help. I became infected with trojan programs sometime in the last 4 or 5 days. In the past, our firewall has always protected us, so I'm not sure why this happened. I've run Ad Aware, The Cleaner (MooSoft), Spybot, and a squared, all of which found various malicious files. I'm still noticing problems with my system, though, including general sluggishness, delay when typing in fields, program crashes, etc.. Here's what I did just before running HJT:

Restarted in safe mode. Ran Ad Aware. Ran The Cleaner. Ran Spybot. Each found a couple of files. Ran HJT to have a log from safe mode. Restarted and ran HJT again in full operational mode. So here's the log:

Thanks in advance for the help. I'm infected with Trojans and can't seem to get clean. Yesterday I did the following:

Started in safe mode. Ran Ad Aware, ran The Cleaner, ran Spybot. Ran HJT to get a log from safe mode. Restarted in regular mode. Ran HJT. Here's the log:

Look up a bit. I merged two of the threads you started and removed one.

Thanks, Pieter. I followed your advice, ran Ad Aware, The Cleaner, and Spybot again. I've pasted my new log below, but also have the following questions:

    1. I've got a program called PGate Basic listed when I go to add/remove programs. I can't remove it without it connecting to the internet and asking me to download something. I'm sure it shouldn't be there but I don't know how to get rid of it.

    2. I've got two folders in my application data folder that are new and seem suspicious: pcsvc and microsoft\crypto. Any comments?

    Here's my current log:

    Hi Bishop,

Check the item below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WNSI] C:\WINNT\system32\wnscpsv.exe

PGate would be PromulGate adware and responsible for some of the things we removed.
It is not advisable to download anything from them.
The pcsvc could be theirs. Remove it but keep it in your trashcan for a while in case we guessed wrong.
The entry in Add/Remove Software can be deleted from the registry. Any decent registry cleaner should be able to take care of that.

    Regards,

    Pieter
