Since we got a new website lots of information is shifted and some is no longer listed. In addition we no longer have full control over it so we can't quickly adjust it.

We have requested our colleagues to address the missing contact information on the website. But things do not move as quickly as it used to. You'd think that a company of 2500 can move more quickly than a group of 6 engineers

Our support email is support@hitmanpro.com which is handled by SurfRight staff.

As always, Wilders members may contact me via PM.

Apparently this product is so good that it's a victim of it's own success :)

Don't you think that maybe it's about time to give this product it's own forum on Wilders, rather than just exist as another thread on "other anti-malware products" o_O This type of informative post could then be "stickied" at the top, making it much easier to find the answer to repeatedly asked questions or concerns. It's taking longer and longer to search for anwsers in this long-running thread. If each question or topic had it's own thread, it would be much easier to filter what you wanted to see.

When HitmanPro.Alert was first announced here over 4.5 years ago, this thread was an excellent move!

But taking a look around now, this thread has grown to over 500 pages, and over 1,118,000 views. That is the #2 spot in this forum, "other anti-malware products". And many times more than the top spot in "other anti-virus software".

Run Windows Update and install all available security updates. The latest version of spaceport.sys is 6.3.9600.18533 which is available through the December 2016 Security Monthly Rollup for Windows 8.1.

This problem still continues despite having reported it long ago.

Skype crashes on all machines when we attempt to run video chat.

I have the latest version of HMPA and Bitdefender 2017 on all machines. Skype too is the latest build. I tried skype video chat between machines with HMPA installed.

Very frustrating problem. If I uninstall HMPA, everything works.

Build 574 is the latest. We use Skype all the time to chat with our Sophos colleagues.

    @mirage22,
So, it seems that perhaps on all your machines there may be another factor that together with HMPA causes your issue.
Not HMPA alone, but the combination with something else.
Erik, nor I, nor other forum members know what is on all your machines, but I suppose you do, so I guess you may be able to deduct which other factor or factors may be relevant regarding your issue.

@erikloman All the machines are on build 574. I just happened to quote my old message.

@Stupendous Man would you know how to figure this out? It's very frustrating.

I would uninstall Bitdefender temporarily and see if that also resolves the problem.

In addition to what SHvFl and Victek suggested,
if Skype crashes on all of your machines with HMPA installed, other security applications and settings that are on all of your systems must be considered as suspect in this case.
Applications and settings that are not on all of your machines can be excluded as suspects.
I don't know which and how many security applications and settings are the same on all of your systems.
If you could present a list of security applications and settings that are the same on all of your systems, Erik and forum members may have suggestions where to begin eliminating.
For now, you could start with SHvFl's and Victek's suggestions.

    Edit:
    Added missing word 'that'.
And also, see Tinstaafl's later suggestion.

    Bitdefender has this:

    Active Threat Control
We use an innovative technique called behavioral detection to closely monitor your active apps. When Bitdefender Total Security 2017 detects anything suspicious, it takes instant action.

    Possible conflict hereo_O

Do you really need to run botho_O

Also from a PC Mag review ... http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2460963,00.asp

"Ransomware is a huge problem, and Bitdefender addresses it directly. It prevents unauthorized programs from making any changes to the folders you've charged it to protect. By default, those are the Documents and Pictures folders for each user account. If it blocks a legitimate program, perhaps a less-used document editor, you can easily whitelist that program. Panda and Trend Micro offer similar anti-ransomware features...

...Bitdefender also blocks some exploit attacks. To see it working, I had to turn off AutoPilot mode. Then I hit it with about 30 exploits generated by the CORE Impact penetration tool. None of the exploits penetrated security, which is not surprising on this fully patched test system. Bitdefender actively blocked 44 percent of the attacks, identifying the majority of them by their official name and number."

As they (Sophos) are using Bitdefender and HMP.A together, Active Threat Control "is the key" here. It can help to disable it.
But there are other suggestions mentioned above.

Thanks for the advice. I tried this, updated spaceport.sys and am still receiving the error.

Does HitmanPro.Alert protect Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 latest update/upgrade 64-bit?
If not, will this ever be possible?
    Happy holidays to all.

It protects Edge. Keystroke encryption is (temporarily?) disabled by Surfright/Sophos.

I've confirmed I have the latest drivers for my 2720SGL rocketraid card, but I'm thinking that's the issue. I've successfully run all Windows updates and even done a clean install of Windows 8.1. Does anyone know if this rocketraid card is just incompatable with hitmanpro.alert? What's strange is I can install hitman pro without issue, but hitmanpro.alert crashes my system to a bsod as soon as I click the install button via the installer. I also had malwarebytes installed but I uninstalled it with no change.

It could be that the driver doesn't like our WipeGuard function.
Can you send that C:\Windows\Minidump\122416-42140-01.dmp to erik[at)surfright.com via www.wetransfer.com?

Hello and Merry Xmass to everyone!

I just wanted to report compatibility issue with Bitdefender Antivirus 2017 Plus.

HitmanPro.Alert + Bitdefender are causing launching issues with the next software:

    - Discord
    - CalMAN Client 3 (Windows)
    - CalMAN Home Video 2016

After adding these apps to Bitdefender's exclusions startup is working just fine. I've reported this issue to Bitdefender and they said that they cannot reproduce them. After uninstalling HitmanPro.Alert and removing all the exclusions the apps started to work normally.

Is that with Bitdefender Active Threat Control disabled (default?), or with Active Threat Control enabled?

They both run well together but Active Thread Control can cause problems and you have to exclude them in Bitdefender or disable Active Threat Control:
Yes, some months ago they had to disable the Keystroke Encryption.

Is HMPA compatable with mbam 3 with web, exploit, malware, and ransomware real time protection turned on.

HMPA devs advise not running the two anti-exploits together, and HMPA allegedly has more protection than MBAE, so one should turn MB anti-exploit off.
Not sure if HMPA CryptoGuard and MB anti-ransomware component could potentially conflict.

    Enabled. (Default setting)

That was the exact issue I was reporting about.

    Thanks, @escalibur.
    And also @erikloman,
If Bitdefender's Active Threat Control is enabled by default, that seems to be different from what Erik supposed, before (October 12).
